US: Reckless Claus on a Motorcycle Evades Trooper
Tampa, United States - December 21, 2024 [Note: no sound] A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper encountered an unusual sight on County Road 486: a male driver in a Santa costume speeding at over 120 mph on a white motorcycle with blue trim. The festive fugitive weaved recklessly through traffic, prompting the trooper to initiate a pursuit near Brandywine Terrace. Despite efforts to stop the holiday hotshot, the rider fled, disappearing near County Road 491 and Black Diamond Circle. The pursuit was called off as the motorcyclist vanished into the night. FHP Tampa later joked about the incident, saying, “The sleigh must be in the shop, but last night Mr. Claus didn’t pause for any cause.” Authorities urge anyone who recognizes this renegade Santa to call *FHP (*347).
