Mr Xiang was manoeuvering on the highway when he almost crashed into the vehicle parked on the road in Sichuan, China, on November 4.
Dashcam footage shows the man spotting the black hatchback ahead before immediately veering into the other lane.
Mr Xiang said: 'The visibility at night was poor. I thought the car in front was driving normally, but suddenly realised it had stopped, waiting to make a U-turn. In the nick of time, I made a sharp manoeuver and narrowly avoided disaster.'
