Pakistan Air Force training jet crashes killing pilot
A Pakistan Air Force training jet crashed in fields, killing the pilot.
The K-8P trainer jet, a Chinese-made Hongdu JL-8, crashed near the runway wall of the PAF Academy Asghar Khan in Risalpur, Pakistan, on January 7.
Footage shows the aircraft heavily damaged. Following the crash, the flying vehicle emitted a fire.
Ambulances and fire brigade teams from the Pakistan Air Force and Army arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
Police reports said that the pilot was sent to the hospital for further treatment. An investigation by authorities is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
