Tourists walked along a terrifying rope bridge above a gorge to cross between mountains in Vietnam.

The holidaymakers climbed the 7,200ft (2,200m) high Cloud Dragon Skywalk in Lao Cai province and tried the hanging bridge at the peak.

Footage shows the visitors wearing a harness attached to an overhead cable as they took each acrophobia-inducing step on wooden planks.

The railing where they could hold for support was also made of rope with visibility reduced by fog.

One of the tourists Therese Castro said: 'It was like a stairway going to heaven. We were taken by a shuttle before we crossed.'

The extreme attraction was connected to the glass bridge which is currently one of the highest in Southeast Asia.
