A quick-thinking driver swerved to avoid a reckless trucker that overtook - hurtling straight into their lane.

Anan Phayakhayad was with his family when they almost had a head-on collision with a counterflowing six-wheeler in Bangkok, Thailand, on January 19.

Dashcam footage shows Anan swiftly moving to the leftmost part of the road, evading injuries.

Anan was shaken and slowed down as he checked if everyone onboard was unhurt.

He said: 'We almost died because of that dangerous driver. Accidents can happen anytime, so everyone must be careful.'

Anan's wife, mother, and child can be heard screaming as the truck almost smashed into them before Anan steered the wheel away.

He added: 'He was driving at high speed and did not even leave enough space for us. He was in a hurry and did not bother to check.'

No one was injured, and the car was not damaged thanks to Anan's defensive driving skills.
