An orangutan was caught on camera walking on a power cable on the main road in the city of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Province, Indonesia on Friday afternoon, January 31 2025.

The orangutan's actions attracted the attention of motorists who gathered around to see the orangutan walking on the electric cable.

From starting with cables on the side of the road, to crossing the road by walking on electric cables.

When he arrived at the end of the pole, the cable the orangutan was holding suddenly gave off sparks.

The orangutan was immediately shocked by a high voltage electric cable. Making the orangutan fall and die instantly.

"When we arrived at the scene, we found the orangutan lying on the road and had been electrocuted," said Junaidi, an officer at the Central Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Center.
