FedEx truck spins out-of-control on icy road in Nebraska
A FedEx delivery truck spun out of control on an icy road in Nebraska.
Dramatic dashcam footage from the Otoe County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) shows the driver losing control on an icy stretch of Highway 2 near Palmyra on Sunday, January 12.
The video, captured while a deputy was already on scene assisting with a prior semi-truck crash, reveals the cargo lorry sliding uncontrollably as the deputy ran for safety.
A police spokesman said: 'Things got a little hectic with the ice on Highway 2 near Palmyra on Sunday. As the deputy ran for his life, he'd like to remind everyone to drive cautiously during hazardous weather conditions.'
Despite the dangerous skid, the truck driver regained control, avoiding further incidents.
The sheriff's office praised the driver's handling of the situation, calling it an 'excellent recovery'.
