This is the moment a driver chases after a tow truck that had seized his car for being parked on a yellow line.

The driver, identified as Volkan, had reportedly parked outside a bank ATM in Kagithane, Istanbul, Turkey, but was shocked when he saw his car being loaded onto a parking enforcement truck on January 19.

Volkan immediately sprinted after the truck.

Footage captured from another car shows him running through backstreets until a kindhearted van driver stops and offers him a lift.

Eventually, he reaches the tow truck stopped at a junction and jumps out, pleading with the operator to release his car.

The parking warden hears his plea and lowers the car back onto the tarmac. The owner then jumps behind the wheel as the footage ends.

He later told local media: 'I just parked to withdraw money. It didn't take a minute.

'But there was a tow truck waiting there. I had to run after him or give up the car.'
