A pedestrian crossing a street where the zebra crossing had been removed caused a crash in Russia.

Dashcam footage shows cars driving along Frunze Street in Kazan, Tatarstan, on Tuesday, January 14.

Upon noticing the individual on the road, one vehicle suddenly brakes while another swerves left to avoid a collision.

The second car then slams on its brakes to avoid hitting the pedestrian crossing the highway, lightly colliding with the first vehicle.

Both auto come to a stop in the street, with other cars maneuvering around them.

Local media reported that the pedestrian crossing had been removed, and fences were placed on both sides of the street to stop people from crossing.

The signposts for the crossing were also taken down, but the white road markings remained.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
