Huge python found slithering across pickup truck
A huge python escaped from the back of a rescuer's truck and slithered to the hood.
The 13ft (4m) serpent was captured from a family's home and was on its way to the animal facility when it slipped out of the bag in Trang, Thailand, on January 30.
Footage shows the reptile slinking on the bonnet. The rescue team member caught it the second time using a stick and a rope.
They secured the animal on the pavement and put it back in a sack before driving away.
It was unhurt, and traffic returned to normal afterwards.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
