Huge python caught inside roof of home
A huge python hiding inside the roof of a home was caught by rescuers.
The 8ft snake was spotted slithering by a resident above her kitchen who called neighbours for help in Bangkok, Thailand on August 26.
Footage shows the serpent being pulled by volunteers using a hook. A resident flashed a torch on the animal while a rescuer grabbed it to fall on the floor.
Neighbour Namchoke said: ‘We then called the rescue team to assist us because it was very long. It might have come to their house because they have a cat.'
The snake was taken to the rescue team's facility to be released later. No one was hurt and the python was unharmed.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
