Crow steals ice cream cone from tourist in Japan
A cheeky crow stole an ice cream cone from a tourist in Japan.
Footage shows the bird ascending to soaring downward to snatch the dessert from Shiela Santos who was trying to take a video selfie with it in Sapporo on January 31.
The black feathered animal grabbed a large chunk of the vanilla-flavoured treat and spilled some off the cone.
Shiela's hair was ruffled as she shrieked from the swift bird that stole her food.
The tourist from the Philippines said: 'We have these birds in Kyoto but they are not as aggressive.'
Shiela and her friend eventually left the ice cream for the bird as it continued to follow them, hovering overhead as they tried to leave the spot.
The notoriously aggressive carrion crows in Sapporo are a well-known part of the city's urban wildlife. The large-billed beasts are highly intelligent and have learned how to collect food from bins and steal lunch from locals.
