This is the shocking moment waves knocked over visitors to a coastal temple in China.

Holidaymakers were spotted attempting to cross the bridge amid surging rough waves at Quanzhou Luojia Temple in Fujian on November 12.

Footage shows four women and a man trying to walk on the pavement when the lad suddenly ran toward the steps, colliding with a huge splash of waves.

He then dropped to the ground upon impact.

After the incident, the soaking-wet vacationer stood up and climbed the stairs as if nothing had happened.

Local media reported that the man did not sustain any injuries.

Quanzhou Luojia Temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and has undergone several renovations and expansions over the centuries. It is one of the few temples in China situated on a floating island, giving it a distinctive and picturesque appearance.
