A lorry carrying two truck containers blocked a highway in China.

Motorists navigating the Hami Lianhuo Expressway had to follow the vehicle for more than two hours in Xinjiang, China, on February 13 at 6 pm.

Footage captured by Mr Ma shows the flatbed truck jamming both road lanes. This caused a traffic jam of over 1 km, as cars were unable to overtake.

Infuriated drivers had to call the police to report the issue.

The filmer said: 'We had to call the police, and they replied that they had also received the same concern.'

Police said they are currently investigating what happened.

Punishments for traffic violations in the country can include disciplinary warnings, fines, temporary suspension or revocation of the driver's license, and even detention.
