Plane crashes into water shortly after take-off killing seven in Honduras
A plane crashed into the sea minutes after take-off - killing seven onboard in Honduras.
The Jetstream aircraft operated by Honduran airline Lanhsa was carrying 14 passengers and three crew when it departed from Roatan Island on Monday night.
It was scheduled to fly to La Ceiba airport on the Honduran mainland but plunged into the ocean around a mile from the coast.
Officials rescued 10 survivors who were taken to the hospital. Seven others onboard, including a US national, a French national and two minors, were confirmed dead.
Investigators are now looking into the cause of the crash.
