This is the dramatic moment a house was reduced to rubble following heavy rains in Indonesia.

Footage shows the lopsided structure crumbling to the ground as recent downpours further eroded its already fragile foundation in West Java, on March 18.

Homeowner Vielsa Mughny Rofa said the house had previously suffered damage from a landslide in 2014.

She said: 'The house still had a few cracks from the 2014 landslide. They haven't been fixed yet. We only added reinforcements to the foundation at the back because we were afraid of more landslides happening.'

She added that the family had evacuated before the collapse as they were spooked by the persistent creaking and cracking noises inside.

Muhamad Firmansyah, commander of the local disaster response office, said no injuries were reported.

He added: 'The rubble of the collapsed house has been tidied up using heavy equipment. Vehicles are allowed to pass through the road in front, but residents are not allowed to walk too close to the site.'
