On the evening of November 28th, 2024, a terrifying 9-1-1 call came into the Middle Township Police Department in New Jersey—a one-week-old baby was unconscious and unresponsive. Officer Chris Rudy was among the first to arrive on scene, where he found the infant's mother desperately attempting CPR. The newborn was blue and cold to the touch, showing no signs of life. Without hesitation, Officer Rudy gently took the baby and began administering life-saving CPR. After just one round, the baby began to regain consciousness, a powerful and emotional moment for everyone present.

Rescue personnel from Atlantic Care arrived shortly after and swiftly took over medical care, transporting the baby to Cooper University Hospital in Cape May Court House for further evaluation. Thanks to the quick-thinking and calm under pressure shown by Officer Rudy, along with the coordinated efforts of emergency responders, the life of the newborn was saved. The Middle Township Police Department commends all involved for their professionalism and heroic actions during such a critical moment.
