Beeville Officers Gently Rescue Baby Stuck in Crib Slats
BEEVILLE, Texas — A pair of City of Beeville Police Department officers responded to a unique call involving an infant with a leg stuck in a crib.
Field Training Officer C. Rodriguez and Patrol Officer Barron arrived on scene and worked together to safely free the child. “You want to pick up the baby? So we're going to go sideways?” one officer is heard saying on body camera footage, calmly coordinating the effort.
Using a simple but effective method, the officers carefully rotated the baby’s leg, allowing the joint to slide free. “Her knee is a little bit wider for that, so all he did was flip it and allow her joint to slide through,” one officer explained during the rescue.
Thanks to their quick thinking and calm response, the child was safely freed without injury.
