Police officer saves monkey with CPR amidst intense heat in northern India
In a remarkable act of compassion, Vikas Tomar, a police officer stationed at the Chhatari police station in northern India's Uttar Pradesh, saved a monkey's life by administering CPR.
The incident took place in Chhatari police station in Bulandshahr on May 24.
Visuals showed how the officer was pressing the monkey's chest to bring it back to life.
The monkey had collapsed and become unconscious due to extreme heat.
Speaking to Newslions Officer Tomar said he noticed the distressed animal and immediately responded with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), successfully reviving it. This heroic act has garnered widespread praise and highlights the severe impact of the current heatwave affecting the region.
The incident underscores the dedication of local police personnel not only to human citizens but also to the well-being of animals in their community. Tomar's quick thinking and life-saving actions have made headlines, emphasizing the broader issue of heat-related dangers in India.
