Hero locals lift car to save girl trapped under front wheel
Heroic locals lifted a car to save a girl trapped under the front wheel of a car that ran her over.
The toddler was playing in the middle of the street outside her family's shop when the black sedan struck her in Hunan, China.
CCTV footage shows how the vehicle had just pulled out of a parking area before the driver seemingly did not notice the child.
Upon witnessing the incident, retired soldier Guo Jin and his friend immediately shouted and waved to stop the driver as the girl lay trapped beneath the car.
Realising they could not reverse the four-wheeler, the veteran called for help from nearby residents.
Several locals rushed over and lifted the car together while others carefully pulled the girl out from under the front wheel on April 6.
Guo Jin reportedly rushed the child to a nearby hospital. Doctors confirmed that she did not sustain any serious injuries.
On April 8, the child's family and the driver sent a pennant to Guo Jin to express their gratitude for saving the girl's life.
