After over three grueling months of recovery, Orange County, Indiana, Sheriff's Deputy Zac Andry is finally heading home. The brave deputy, who was shot multiple times in the line of duty this past January, was discharged from UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute on April 9. The sendoff was emotional as his family, medical team, and fellow law enforcement officers gathered to cheer him on. He received a whole police escort as he made his way home — a hero returning after a long and uncertain journey.

Deputy Andry's path to recovery has been nothing short of remarkable. From being sedated and on a ventilator for weeks to engaging in intensive occupational, physical, and speech therapy since February, his resilience has inspired everyone around him. His family's support, his care team's dedication, and his own unshakable will brought him through the darkest days. Now, with a long road ahead, Deputy Andry is no longer walking it alone — he’s walking it home.
