Los Angeles, United States - April 30, 2025 04/30/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 COMMERCE, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Southwest officers initiated a pursuit of a suspected car thief near the intersection of La Brea and Jefferson. Officers believed the suspect was armed and reported at least four occupants inside the vehicle. The pursuit lasted approximately 35 minutes as the suspect fled from officers. At one point during the chase, officers believed they witnessed the suspect throw a gun from the car near the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Coliseum Street. The suspect drove into the Gardena area before ultimately traveling to Commerce, where they surrendered to law enforcement. Four young males were taken into custody following the incident. The chase ended at the bottom of the off-ramp of the 710 North and Washington.
