Police raid 'sausage fest' pool party with 200 Indian men in Thai Sin City Pattaya
Police stormed a testosterone-filled pool party with more than 200 Indian men in Pattaya.
Cops raided the Pattaya Mansion hotel in the Thai Sin City following reports from furious residents about defeaning music being blasted from the building on May 9.
The locals complained they had endured weeks of sleepless nights due to the late-night revelry.
Local district chief Patcharaphat Srithanyanon led a team of more than 50 policemen including two female translators to crack down on the raucous festivities.
Footage shows officers sweeping into the property, where they found dozens of shirtless Indian men enjoying the boozy 'sausage fest' party in the hotel's pool area, illuminated by flickering lights.
A thumping bass blared from loudspeakers on a stage while several swimmers floated on inflatables in the small pool.
Other guests downed flowing alcohol on poolside tables as they watched movies. There were also four female dancers hired to gyrate on a tabletop.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jamlong Jinpala, Deputy Chief of Investigation of the Nong Prue Police, said: 'Once the situation was under control, we verified the identities of the hired female entertainers and checked them for drugs. No minors or illegal substances were found.
'We also reviewed the permits of the hotel and the tour operators who took the Indian tourists to this venue.
'We acted quickly to respond to the residents' complaints about the disruptive parties. Inspectors visited the site to enforce noise regulations. We made it clear that if any violations are found, legal action will be taken.'
Former fishing village Pattaya became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1950s and 1960s when the U.S. military had bases in Thailand while fighting Communism in Vietnam. Rural families are said to have even dressed their sons as women to cash in on the gold rush.
The handful of bars in the coastal town quickly grew and it is now the world's biggest sex holiday destination, with round-the-clock prostitution and drugs - a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah rife with crime and debauchery.
Government chiefs have attempted to clean up the city but regular violence, depravity and claims of corruption continue to blight its reputation.
