This is the gruesome moment a huge python regurgitated a hen after it was caught on a farm in Thailand.

The 10ft reticulated python was found with a swollen belly, lounging inside a chicken coop in Ang Thong on May 12.

The horrified farmer called local snake catchers after finding the beast had swallowed one of his chickens.

Footage shows snake wrangler Ratha Tapianthong dragging the python out into the open.

The snake, unable to move due to its swollen midsection, expelled the dead fowl from its gut in an attempt to escape. It was then placed in a sack to be released into the wilderness.

The homeowner said: 'I was checking on my livestock but I noticed that the chickens were unusually noisy. When I looked inside the coop to check, I was shocked to find the snake lying there with its stomach bulging.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
