Dog Rescued From Busy Highway Leaps Into Police Cruiser
CANTON, Ohio — A dog wandering on Interstate 77 found an unlikely hero—and a temporary ride—thanks to a quick-thinking state trooper.
Sgt. Brett Claxon of the Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted the dog last week and safely coaxed it off the busy roadway. Once the cruiser door opened, the pup jumped straight into the driver’s seat.
The dog was unharmed and later reunited with its owner.
The patrol shared the lighthearted moment on social media, calling it a “PAW-sitively adorable rescue” and joking that the furry passenger may be ready to join the team.
