VAN WERT COUNTY, Ohio — Quick teamwork from law enforcement and wildlife officials helped rescue a bald eagle stranded on U.S. Route 30 in Van Wert County.

Trooper Kevin Krill of the Van Wert Post, Sgt. Adam Brincefield from the Findlay District, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Officer Nolan Johnson responded to the scene, where the eagle was spotted in the roadway.

The group carefully worked together to safely remove the bird from traffic and ensure it received proper care. The bald eagle, a protected national symbol, appeared to be injured but was stabilized and turned over to wildlife professionals for further treatment.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol praised the collaborative effort as a proud example of interagency cooperation and commitment to public and wildlife safety.
