Motorcycle rider takes a tumble on wet road
A motorcycle rider took a tumble while riding downhill on a wet, muddy road.
Footage shows the motorist descending the slope when he tried to avoid another motorbike but lost control in North Maluku, Indonesia.
He turned the handlebars only slightly to the left but skidded and fell sideways.
The traveller landed hard on his back, but his bag softened the impact before he slid 30ft across the slick trail on June 21.
Onlooker Islamidar said: ‘That happened in an accident-prone area. Every time it rains, people always get hurt.'
The motorbiker was chased by concerned locals who helped him stand up and check on his two-wheeler.
He could still stand up and walk, although with a slight limp.
Indonesia and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season, which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rainstorms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
