Motorbike rider smashes through level crossing barrier
This is the dangerous moment a motorcycle rider smashed through a level crossing barrier - before being clotheslined and skidding along the ground.
CCTV footage shows the rider speeding towards the beam after the Ratchawithi Rod in Bangkok, Thailand, was drenched with rain road on September 7 evening. The driver ran straight into the train barrier which was being lowered, causing him to be knocked off and slide along the ground.
Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning Officer Suphalerk Soodyodprasert said: 'A motorcycle crashed into a beam blocking the Ratchawithi road. Fortunately, the rider wasn't too badly injured.'
He added that the barrier beam was damaged in the accident and the rider would have to pay for the costs to repair it.
