Floods hit northwestern Venezuela amid heavy rainfall
Floods caused a house to collapse as heavy rainfall battered northwestern Venezuela.
Footage shows the structure leaning into the Rio Chama river after floodwaters eroded the riverbank in Merida on June 26.
The building was part of the facilities at the Alberto Carnevali Park.
Severe weather caused by the Intertropical Convergence Zone has been battering Venezuela since June 24.
Authorities said more than 4,700 people were displaced, evacuated, or in need of urgent assistance.
