Recently, at the Hukou Waterfall Scenic Area on the Yellow River in Yichuan, Shaanxi Province, a female tourist filed a complaint after a male donkey's genitals were exposed. The tourist described the scene as "inappropriate" and "not suitable for children."

In response to the complaint, the scenic area implemented an overnight "rectification," covering the donkey’s genitals with a black sheath.

However, after the modification, the covered area became even more noticeable, and the donkey’s gait appeared awkward, sparking even greater controversy.

Some argued that public attractions should consider the mental and emotional well-being of minors and avoid potentially embarrassing situations.

However, a larger number of people countered that the donkey’s exposed genitals are a natural biological feature and that humans should not impose their standards on animals. They criticised the complaint as “oversensitive” or “childish.”

景区接到投诉后连夜整改，为驴的生殖器套上黑色罩子。

整改后驴的生殖器部位更显眼，行走姿态怪异，这一行为引发了更大争议。

有人认为景区是公共场所，需考虑未成年人身心健康，避免尴尬场景。

有更多的人则认为，驴的生殖器外露是动物的自然生理特征，人类不应以自身标准苛责动物，投诉是“矫情”或“巨婴行为”。
