This is the spectacular moment a tourist walked through a mystical, moss-covered forest in the Philippines.

Excel Rodriguez and her friends hiked overnight to Mount Dulang-Dulang to witness its otherworldly landscape in Bukidnon, Mindanao.

Footage shows the female hiker wearing a blue coat and a white beanie, slowly making her way toward the twisted, moss-draped hardwood trees.

Mount Dulang-Dulang, standing at 9,649 ft (2,941 metres) above sea level, is the second highest mountain in the Philippines and part of the Mount Kitanglad Range Natural Park.

The mountain is currently closed to the public to protect its fragile ecosystem, honour its sacred status to indigenous tribes, and regulate tourism, with access granted only through special permission and local guides.
