This is the hilarious moment a mother accidentally sprayed water onto her baby after her relatives pulled a playful birthday prank.

Steaphanie Hanie Flores was caught off guard while recording a birthday video with her family at the Sheraton Manila Hotel in the Philippines.

Footage shows Steaphanie placing numbers 2 and 5 candles on her cake before taking a sip of wine on June 22.

As she turned away, her husband, Arthur, quickly replaced the candle and added a number 3 decoration, making the cake read her correct age of '35.'

To keep the joke going, Arthur swapped her wine glass for a baby bottle, leaving the birthday celebrant visibly confused.

Moments later, her sister, Queency Tiango, handed over Steaphanie's one-year-old daughter, Sofia Allisha.

The unexpected handoff made Steaphanie laugh so hard she spat out her water, straight onto the child.

Steaphanie said. 'My sister was the one directing us. While we were recording the video, I couldn't stop laughing at her singing ‘take her,' telling me to take my daughter.

'I found it so funny that I spat out the drink with laughter.'
