United States - June 28, 2025 On June 28, a dramatic river rescue unfolded at the Trestle Bridge on the Provo River in Wasatch County, Utah. Around 1:30 p.m., a Natural Resource Law Enforcement Ranger was alerted by a citizen that a 45-year-old woman on a paddleboard had become stuck under the bridge structure. The Ranger, with the help of a bystander, immediately entered the cold, fast-moving river and kept the woman’s head above water. The three remained in the 55-degree water for approximately 30 minutes until the woman was freed. Wasatch County Search and Rescue, along with Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene and provided medical attention to everyone involved. Officials praised the Ranger and the bystander for their selfless actions and thanked all responders and citizens who aided in the successful rescue.
