Cocaine worth $74m that was seized in Colombia is unloaded in Florida
The US Coast Guard seized cocaine valued at USD 73.7 million off the coast of South America and later offloaded it in South Florida.
The major drug bust resulted from an interdiction operation carried out on June 24.
During the mission, the crew of the USCGC Tahoma intercepted the cocaine around 120 miles northwest of Ecuador.
Footage shows the crew preparing to unload the suspected drugs, weighing approximately 9,970 lb, at Port Everglades on Tuesday, July 29.
Authorities have not revealed who was responsible for the smuggling attempt or whether any individuals are facing federal charges related to the seizure.
