Officials brave raging river currents, pull off daring rescue of three stranded lives from torrential waters
Three individuals caught in the fierce river currents were safely rescued as the SDRF team reached the spot and, displaying remarkable bravery and skill, navigated the turbulent waters to bring all three to safety from the life-threatening situation.
The incident took place near Prem Nagar, Thakurpur, in Dehradun district, in northern India's Uttarakhand, on August 4.
Visuals show that SDRF officials skillfully brought out the individuals trapped in the strong currents.
Speaking to Newslions, Vinit Vaibhav, SDRF constable, Uttarakhand, stated that a report came in stating that three people were stuck in the fast-flowing river near Thakurpur in the Prem Nagar area.
Responding swiftly, a rescue unit from SDRF Post Sahastradhara, under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Rajbar Singh Rana, departed for the scene with all necessary rescue gear.
Confronting the forceful river currents, the SDRF team showcased outstanding bravery and expertise, managing to reach the trapped individuals and escort them safely to a secure place.
As per Sub-Inspector Rajbar Singh Rana, those rescued have been identified as Rajkishore Saini, Rakesh Saini, and Virendra Saini. They are originally from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, currently residing in Thakurpur, Prem Nagar.
