A terrifying incident was caught on CCTV in Amreli district, where a stray dog attempted to drag away a 2-year-old child in a shocking attack.
The child was outside when the dog suddenly approached and tried to lift the toddler, seemingly to attack. The boy’s screams alerted his father, who rushed to the scene within seconds and rescued his son from the jaws of the stray dog — narrowly preventing what could have been a fatal attack.
The child was immediately taken to a local hospital in Chital for treatment. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
The entire incident, which unfolded in a matter of moments, was captured on live CCTV footage, now circulating on social media and raising concerns about the growing menace of stray dogs in residential areas.
Local residents have demanded urgent action from authorities to control the stray dog population and ensure children’s safety in the area.
