This is the dramatic moment a shopkeeper narrowly avoids being crushed when a fridge topples over.

Thipaporn Kaewrat, 58, was rearranging snacks on a tray rack when the open-front cooler behind her suddenly fell to the floor in Songkhla, Thailand.

Shocking CCTV footage shows the shop owner turning to her side upon hearing bottles inside the refrigerator collapse on August 11.

She then tumbled to the ground as the appliance slammed into her, with the red trays and their contents scattering everywhere.

The woman was thrown by the impact before landing on her side.

Moments later, her son-in-law and his friends rushed over when they heard the loud crash inside the shop.

They carefully lifted the fridge and removed the bottles one by one.

Napatchaon Kaewrat, her daughter, said: 'We have since taken my mother for an X-ray, and she has bruising on her back. The doctor has scheduled a follow-up to monitor her condition.'

The shopkeeper was released from hospital and has made a full recovery.
