Crane topples onto busy highway sending passing car spiralling out of control
On 9 August in Chengdu, Sichuan, a car was travelling on a motorway when a crane at a construction site suddenly toppled over. Its massive boom crashed across the road, but the car’s driver reacted instantly, swerving just in time to escape unscathed.
The cause of the crane’s collapse is still under investigation.
