Driverless tricycle suddenly crashes into car before returning to spot in spooky scene
On 16 August in Weifang, Shandong, a three-wheeled vehicle suddenly started up on its own outside a shop, despite no one operating it. It drove straight into a parked minivan, then unexpectedly rolled back to its original spot.
The minivan owner said he initially thought someone had caused the accident and fled, but after checking the CCTV footage, he discovered it was the tricycle. The collision left a dent in the rear of the vehicle, possibly caused by a short circuit in the tricycle’s wiring due to rain. Discussions over compensation with the tricycle’s owner are under way.
