Terrifying moment man falls through pavement in central India
A shocking incident was caught on CCTV in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur, where a man fell into a roadside drain after its cover suddenly gave way.
The video shows the man getting off a scooter with boxes in his hand near a bakery on Tuesday. As he stepped toward the shop, the cracked drain cover collapsed beneath him, causing him to fall inside.
Fortunately, his co-passenger, bystanders, and shop staff quickly rushed to his aid and pulled him out. He escaped without major injuries, but the incident has raised fresh concerns over pedestrian safety in the area.
Authorities later cordoned off the collapsed drain cover with large stones to prevent further accidents.
