A driver of a moving bus in western India was struck by a stone thrown through the windscreen, causing a crash on the road in this shocking video. No one was seriously injured.

Three CCTV cameras captured the terrifying incident on June 11, 2021 onboard a private bus that was going from Bhadrajun to Pune in the state of Maharashtra.

CCTV footage from inside the bus shows driver Rangaram lighting a cigarette, in violation of rules, while steering the vehicle. He was suddenly hit by a stone that struck his head and left him dazed.

The driver fell out of his seat and the bus ran off the road, luckily avoiding collision with an oncoming truck, and came to a halt on an empty field. 

Passengers suffered minor bruises and the bus suffered some damage. According to police, the incident took place near Talasari town. The police initially thought the driver had lost control while trying to light a cigarette.

However, CCTV footage showed that a stone thrown at the bus is what caused the crash. Police filed a case tried to trace the perpetrators responsible.
