Marines Volunteer at Boston Food Bank During Marine Week
BOSTON — U.S. Marines assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-250 spent Thursday packaging food at the Greater Boston Food Bank as part of Marine Week Boston.
The service event gave Marines an opportunity to give back to the community while engaging directly with local residents. Officials said the effort highlighted the Marine Corps’ ongoing commitment to service both at home and abroad.
Marines stationed across the globe are marking the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps this year, commemorating its legacy of service, sacrifice and fidelity to the nation and to one another.
