Python caught in family's back garden in Bangkok
This is the shocking moment a giant python was hauled from a family's back garden in Bangkok.
The 10ft beast sparked alarm when it slithered into the backyard of the residence on August 17.
Terrified residents called reptile catchers after spotting the serpent lurking near their home at around 9pm.
Footage shows handlers dragging the python from its hiding spot under a leafy shrub before stuffing it into a sack.
The snake was later handed over to firefighters at the Ratburana Fire & Rescue Station to be released into the wild.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
