A python slithered on the handrails of a moving bus in Thailand.

Footage shows the 5ft-long serpent slinking around the stainless steel road overhead as the vehicle travelled through Bangkok during rush hour.

It coiled near an advertising monitor before rescuers caught it at the next stop. No one was hurt, and the animal was later released.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
