Car ploughs into roadside home and narrowly misses toddler
This is the dramatic moment a car ploughed into a roadside home, narrowly missing a toddler.
The out-of-control white hatchback veered off course after colliding with a pickup truck in Krabi, Thailand.
CCTV footage shows the vehicle skidding into the side of the residence, slamming into racks of clothes displayed at the front on July 11.
A woman who was sitting on the patio can be seen springing to her feet, momentarily frozen in confusion as the crash happened.
The impact sent items flying and filled the air with smoke.
Moments later, frantic screams erupted as the resident realised her two-year-old daughter, who had been sitting in a toy car, was dangerously close to the collision.
She can be heard calling for her family to help search for the child, while neighbours rushed to the scene and a passing motorcyclist stopped to alert emergency services.
To their relief, the girl was found unharmed, shielded by racks and piles of clothing that acted as a barrier.
Local media reported that the driver had allegedly dozed off behind the wheel. His passenger suffered broken ribs, while he required four stitches to his knee. The car was left completely wrecked.
