Los Angeles, United States - September 23, 2025 09/22/2025 11:15 pm GMT-0700 LOS FELIZ, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division units initiated a pursuit of a stolen Infiniti SUV. The chase intensified when officers deployed multiple spike strips, causing the vehicle to lose all four tires. Officers then executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, causing the SUV to become disabled on a curb. Initially, the suspect appeared to comply with the officers' orders by stepping out of the vehicle. However, he then returned to the SUV and barricaded himself inside. The LAPD requested a K-9 unit and asked the Los Angeles Fire Department to stage at a nearby command post. After the K-9 unit and Metropolitan Division units arrived, less-lethal munitions were deployed, and officers broke the vehicle's windows. Tear gas was subsequently introduced into the vehicle. The driver continued to resist for about a minute before he jumped out of the car and onto the ground. Officers swiftly moved in and took him into custody. The Los Angeles Fire Department evaluated the suspect, but it is unclear whether he was transported to a local hospital. No injuries were reported among others involved in the incident.
