A three-year-old child showed extraordinary presence of mind when he quickly pulled his mother’s hand, saving her from a live 11,000-volt wire that came crashing down. His timely reaction averted a fatal accident, protecting her from electrocution.

The incident took place outside the Pushpanjali clothing store in Kishanganj's Saudagar Patti in northern India's Bihar on October 2.

Visuals show that a little boy was curiously glancing around when he noticed the 11,000-volt wires dangling above. As if sensing imminent danger, he wasted no time and quickly tugged at his mother’s hand, pulling her safely toward a nearby shop entrance.

Speaking to Newslions, Mithu Mantry, owner of the Pushpanjali clothing store, said that just as the mother and child stepped inside the shop’s doorway, a live high-voltage wire suddenly snapped and came crashing down outside. Moments later, people rushed out to see what had happened, only to realize how narrowly tragedy had been avoided. It was a situation where even the smallest delay could have turned fatal. Had the little boy not reacted instantly, both he and his mother might have been struck, leading to a devastating accident.

The young child’s alertness and swift action not only secured his own safety but also shielded his mother from grave danger. His instinctive response amazed everyone present. Residents who witnessed or later heard about the incident expressed their astonishment, calling it nothing short of a miraculous escape. Many praised the child’s presence of mind, hailing him as an unlikely savior in a life-threatening moment.
