US, Los Angeles: Harbor Gateway Woman Rescued After Falling Down Manhole

Los Angeles, United States - October 22, 2025 10/22/2025 02:54 am GMT-0700 HARBOR GATEWAY, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to a technical rescue early Wednesday at approximately 2:54 a.m. at the 1300 block of West 190th Street in Harbor Gateway. An approximately 40-year-old woman fell about 8 feet into a drainage hole, necessitating a confined space rescue operation. Firefighters worked to establish a rescue plan to reach and extricate the injured woman safely. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
