Officials rush to help 1.5-year-old with steel container stuck on head, child freed safely within 30 minutes
A steel container became lodged on the head of a 1.5-year-old girl, causing panic. Authorities acted swiftly and successfully removed it, rescuing the child safely within half an hour, preventing any serious injury.
The incident took place in Vizhinjam, in Thiruvananthapuram district, in southern India's Kerala, on November 14.
Visuals show that a steel container got stuck on the head of a 1.5-year-old child, causing great distress. The child’s parents took her to the fire station, where fire officials used cutters to remove the steel object and successfully rescue her.
Speaking to Newslions, Sanu, Senior Fire and Rescue Officer, Fire and Rescue Station Vizhinjam, Kerala, stated that this rescue operation was led by Pramod S.U., Station Officer, Fire and Rescue Station. In addition to him, the rescue team included AATO Shaji, SFR Rajesh, Ranju Krishna, and Fire & Rescue Officers Santosh Kumar, Jinesh, Vipin, and Ratheesh, all of whom actively took part in successfully executing the operation.
The one-and-a-half-year-old girl got a steel container stuck on her head while playing, causing panic and fear. The incident occurred around 04:30 pm in Muttakkad, Venganur. Her family attempted to remove the container at home but failed, prompting them to rush the child to Vizhinjam Fire Station for help.
Fire and Rescue officers, led by Station Officer Pramod, carefully worked for about half an hour to free the child. Using hand cutters, the personnel successfully removed the steel container without causing any harm. The young girl, who had been crying in fright, was rescued safely and reunited with her family, returning home unharmed. Authorities praised the quick and efficient response of the Vizhinjam Fire and Rescue team in handling the delicate situation with precision and care.
