An American tourist survived a drunken fall from a condo balcony in Thailand.

Daniel Trabue White, 45, from Indiana, is believed to have taken drugs and alcohol in his room in 'Sin City' Pattaya.

He reportedly went on a rampage, sparking alarm among neighbours when he started screaming from his balcony this morning, November 19.

Staff tried to calm him down but he allegedly plunged from the second floor of the Arcadia Beach Continental condominium at around 8:16 am local time.

Volunteers rushed to the scene, where they found the shirtless tattooed holidaymaker groaning in pain as he lay on the ground. The American reportedly staring off into space and speaking incoherently.

Footage shows an English-speaking tourist telling Daniel 'you're ok, you're alright' and urging him to talk to the medics.

He was given first aid before being rushed to the hospital for leg injuries and chest tightness.

An 18-year-old Thai woman, who claimed to be a friend of Daniel's ex, told police he had taken ketamine before going berserk.

Police inspected his room and seized cannabis and ziplock bags containing a powdery substance believed to be narcotics.

Authorities said the case was being investigated.

Thailand decriminalised marijuana in 2022, making it the first Asian nation to do so.

However, the lack of regulations caused a surge in unregulated sales and use, especially in tourist areas like Bangkok, Phuket, and Pattaya.

Government officials are now seeking to outlaw recreational cannabis use by requiring medical certificates to purchase the drug.

Pattaya has become the country's flagship tourist destination, fuelled by the allure of bars, massage parlours, drugs, and cheap sex. It has been dubbed a 'p*rno Disneyland' by some Brits, who can find relationships and experiences not easily available in their homeland.

However, the region is now often seen as tarnishing the wider image of Thailand as a family-friendly holiday destination with stunning beaches, food and a rich history.
